Your blog should be about improvements that you have made, working towards improving yourself for employment. You have missed the point and just discussed about work that you have been doing in class. Please rewrite your posts, to reflect on improvements you have made E.g. Writing a CV Writing a letter of application Improving communication skills Improving standards of English / maths Researching what you will need in further skills, qualifications

Luke Crerand (Letters and emails week 10)

Some of the activities that I have done to improve on this is writing out emails and letters. This will help me be successful because I will know how to write a professional letter and this will improve me on my English skills. Another activity that I did was writing emails to my tutors in college so that I could learn to do more of these in the future. This will also benefit me in improving my English and increase my chances of passing.

Luke Crerand (proof reading week 9)

Another way I have improved myself for the future is by proof reading my work. To improve myself I proof read one of my CV's and corrected any errors. This will help me for the future because I will learn to spot my errors and I will be able to correct them if I am ever writing up documents or presentations. This will also improve my English skills and reading skills. To make sure that I was correct I made sure that people read my work to see if all of the grammar and spelling was perfect.  To improve on my grammar I went online and completed a couple of spelling and grammar tests until I got all of the answers right.

Luke Crerand (Improving My hand writing week 8)

To improve on my hand writing I can write a letter or a CV. I can proof read my own work so I am able to make less errors and so I can practice on using the correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. I have already passed my math's so I wont need to improve on this in the future. This will help me in the future because when I need to write a CV or a letter I will know how and the best techniques to do so. I have to use my English skills everyday so they are essential when I'm speaking, writing and listening.  Another way I have improved on my hand writing is watching videos online and learning about the best techniques that other people recommend. I would use these techniques by practicing them on a piece of paper until it came naturally.

Luke Crerand (Producing a CV week 7)

On week 7 I have wrote a perfect CV with my skills and qualifications and some information about myself. One activity I did was writing more than one CV to make sure that it was quality and so it could impress the person reading it. I had my tutors read my CV to make sure that they thought it was at a high standards and to see if they could give me a reference. A CV is really important because it defines the type of worker you are so you must stand out to the employer to make sure that you get the job. Now that I have a fully up to date CV I am able to send this out to companies that might want to employ me. I have not yet got a job but now that I have improved my CV and a few of my communication skills I feel I will have a better chance in the future.

Luke Crerand (Attendence to Lessons week 6)

On week 6 I am looking at my attendance and how important it is to getting a job. Firstly my attendance is 1005 and this is want employers will want because they need somebody who they can rely on and somebody is going to turn up without fail. As well as turning up you need to make sure that you're actually turning up on time. I have been late a couple of times this year so I need to make sure that this improves in the future because in a workplace people will be relying on you to turn up on time and being ready. It is key I turn up on time to lesson because I don't want to fall behind because I've missed key information at the start. One activity I could do is to note down the times that I turn up everyday. This will benefit me because it will help be more consistent and I could make it my routine to be early.
